Artwork description:

This work represents two of five inhabited islands of the Isles of Scilly. Within the image there are uninhabited islands and rocks. The group of islands is very beautiful and considered an important area for wildlife especially sea birds and marine fauna and flora. I have now completed three of these maps, each taking approx. two to four months to complete. Because they are etchings I have to work in reverse for the work to read correctly when printed.

The work is executed on a copper plate using only the hard ground method.

Materials used:

Printing ink on Somerset Satin paper
