Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Trees are sparse in Orkney. Papdale woods is an enchanting small wooded area recently replanted with 50 sycamore, beech, oak, elm, holly and hazel trees by the Orkney Woodlands Project, a group of pupils from KGS. I was inspired to create this artwork as the woods were under threat from a contruction company wanting to build a road through it. I would walk past Papdale woods every day on my way to school, we would play hide and seek there as children. I wanted to create works that held a memory for me.

Materials used:

Black and white etching print, skeletal leaves, SLR contact print.
