Experimentation with oil paint is something that can obsess a person, it makes them constantly try to enter a new and more diverse level. My latest paintings in the early days of 2014, have been based around the idea of fluidity of the medium. If altered with the right chemicals this medium gives of a tranquil effect. In some areas it strictly mimics cloud formations, in others it works and flows like water down a stream. The inspiration for this piece goes back to my initial shock and introduction to street art. The style that had caught all of my attention and eventually my heart, can now be seen being developed and exposed through my own hand. This image is based off of a photograph that I had taken during an expedition to the world famous location of Montauk, New York. The piece is 100% oil and is carefully painted using only a size zero camel hair brush.
