Artist's description:

A raw, candid urban piece, this was taken in a disposable room on the bottom level of a high rise building I had been visiting several months ago. And amongst the array of dumpsters and recycle bins I noticed this human-shaped wooden plaque left propped against one. Decorated in memories and sentimentality, something so familial discarded amongst refuse seemed odd to me. Perplexing. And yet, can we deny that families, whether conflicted or disjointed, can just as easily discard the precious? The invaluable?
