Artist's description:

This piece explores the dichotomy of beauty and putridity.

Comes framed with a white float mat and a 1" thick black wooden frame.

Inspired by microscopy slides and images, my work explores the viscosity of air rolling around solid objects. Invisible to the naked eye yet very much in existence, air ripples like water at the influx of motion and even sound. What we perceive as a void between one object and another is truly a world of it's own.

The texture and rendering were created using my plasticized aeration technique which freezes air bubbles within the medium. The resulting finish is transparent and prismatic with visible tonal depth and an irregular surface.

Arrives in a black wooden frame.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint, water, brushes, sponges, and an air compressor
