Artist's description:

I am a pure photographer there is No photoshop : The film and the photographer will make the picture work .... so it is Taboo for me to alter or change according to whim. Spirit of Place is all.

In 1988 I was on a world journey and in late November found myself in Taos New Mexico.
I had been an admirer of Paul Strand for some years and knew of his relationships with Alfred Steglitz and Georgia Okeefe. This photograph was made within feet of Georgia''s House in Taos.
Georgia Okeefe, Frida Kahlo, Diane Arbus are the women I most admire ..... I had spent months in China and found myself alienated in the United States. Alone and travelling, never speaking to people prepared me for this picture. Photography for me is one of the most sensitive of media. I look intuively for events that explain our reason to be here. I wanted to relearn Craft in Photography. After the Hack life of Photojournalism... I wasn't too successful at that either ha ha .....The sorrow I felt at the loss of these creative people in NM , including DH Lawrence, who had lived in Taos, was overwhelming. I felt it again when I first visited Morgan Motor Company the loss of Peter Morgan was also overwhelming. ...... It is here in my photograph of winter light crossing a Pueblo, Georgia OKeefes House..
I took the bus to Mexico proper and things changed.
