Linocut print of a waterside view I have found trecking the amazing swedish natural park of Tiveden.
I'm very satisfied with how detailed and vibrant this one came, which is a big challenge in linocuts technique.
An regarding the composition, my intention and the guiding feeling was to evoke the deep breath one gets when staying in the nature. Such was the experience of that place for me and I feel it transfered into this work.
As far as the techinque is concerned a big inspiration in working on this project have been the japanese printmaking masters, the combination of minimalism of means with the utmost attention to detail - that's something that always draws me to that tradition.
The print itself is of course also hand pulled (I use japanese style bamboo barren) on wonderful Hosho mullbery-fibre paper.
Limited edition of 15.
The work comes matted in a matching passepartout, framed in wood and ready to hang!
