Artist's description:

At first glance, the painting is whimsical in its bright, circus colors and cartoonish figure. These element are used to quickly grab your visual attention. It is looking for a deeper meaning that holds your visual attention. Thinking through the "Why did the artist create this image." reveals its larger dimension. This is a statement of the frailty of the human existence. The path that each person must walk alone. It speaks to the careful decisions and dire consequences of a miss step in life. This is the point at which the bright colors become jagged consequences. Paired with the size of the figure and the distance from the jagged colors the tiny figure becomes frail. Just as life is fleeting, it is also wonderful, colorful and full of joys.

Oil on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. Signed on side of the painting. Edge are painted and my be hung straight out of the box or framed.
