Three Wishes is painted in artists oils on stretched cotton canvas. I felt compelled to paint this scene one day after sitting in the corner of the garden, when I noticed a dandelion patch with three wishes bathed in sunlight. The painting was painted with the tiniest possible brushes, is remarkably detailed, and has a beautiful, luminous quality when viewed in person.
I discovered two worn old vintage frames in a shop in a Mexican village, and had canvases stretched to fit them. The vintage quality of the smooth oval wood frame seemed a perfect setting for a more traditional landscape composition, done in miniature. Although small, this work displays a powerful presence when hung in a smaller space and would do well on a dining room or kitchen wall, in a reading space, or in a hallway niche. It comes ready to hang.
