Artwork description:

A lino print of a three birds launching themselves from the ground, rising up into the air. It is made up of the same lino cuts as the other, divided and rearranged so every one is unique. I loved creating this print, and carving the wonderful shape of the wings.

Editions will vary ever so slightly as they are hand printed, its part of the joy of printmaking. All prints are mounted with acid free card, ready to frame.

Available framed- solid oak frame costing £15 available just send a note or offer for £55

What is a Linocut?
Linocut is a printmaking technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum (sometimes mounted on a wooden block) is used for a relief surface. A design is cut into the linoleum surface with a sharp knife, V-shaped chisel or gouge, with the raised (uncarved) areas representing a reversal (mirror image) of the parts to show printed. The linoleum sheet is inked with a roller (called a brayer), and then impressed onto paper or fabric. The actual printing can be done by hand or with a printer

Materials used:

240g paper, Linseed Oil Inks, Printing Press
