Artwork description:

My thistle is ready to bloom. It's gigantic. I look forward to seeing it every spring. Those purple globes are so weird and exotic; they weren't in my grandmother's garden, that's for sure!

So, I drew the image onto linoleum, carved out the negative space, inked it up with black ink on white paper, and colored it in with watercolor and gouache. I love it. Looks like my thistle but in a kind of graphic almost art deco mode. I hope you enjoy it!
