It has various references including the story of the Prodigal Son, the Death of the Hero in a far, unknown land and the state of being a child, meaning that one has been reborn. "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)

On the other hand it is a commentary on the vanity of everyday life, of all the struggles, difficulties and arguments that finally are solved by the end of one's life path.
