Artist's description:

This small painting is made with oil based inks and oil paints.
The colours are much deeper than can be shown on screen and the paint/ink is quite thick and textured

This sort of print is classed as as monotype.
Washington Printmakers describe the process thus:
"To create a monotype the artist paints or rolls ink onto a blank plate.  The image is created by manipulating ink with various tools (brushes, rags, stencils, etc.) Ink can be layered, color over color, and printed on the same paper in successive passes through the press.  Because there are no permanent marks on the plate, it is not possible to create multiples of the image."
I used glass to manipulate my inks and oil paints.

This painting is mounted and framed. Mount 9" x 9" (23cm x 23cm). Image size 15cm x 15cm. Frame size 26cm x 26cm x 3.5cm
