A deconstructed book about Theodore Roosevelt is the foundation of this deeply textured mixed media collage. The mossy green base is the book cover, the mesh and the dark brown papers are from the book binding and the neutral background on the top is from the book end papers. The book elements are complemented by the application of fine art papers along with random splashes of acrylic ink and gold leaf. This is my way of repurposing old abandoned objects and turning them into unique works of art.
