Third in the series entitled 'Birds on Slate' where I capture scenes containing wonderful British wildlife, plants and flowers.
In this piece I wanted to create a real contrast between the dusky grey slate, the vivid yellow plumage of the yellowhammer and the beautiful, delicate, mauve flowers of verbena bonariensis.
This piece is painted on reclaimed slate.
