Lately, I've been experimenting with liquid art techniques, and this 20"x20" abstract painting is one of the results. It reflects my perception of the world today, which is very much in turmoil and chaos on different levels. Sadly, that's the reality of "black and white", of widespread division, violent aggression and lots of blood. It's fragmented and entangled at the same time. And it's definitely burning, getting hotter & hotter, both, in nature and socially...
But whether one agrees with the above sentiment, or not, this painting can stand on its own, as a non–descriptive, stunning piece of abstract art. It's vivid, bold and draws an immediate attention to itself.
I used acrylic paint in dramatically contrasting colors: black, white, red and a little bit gold. The paint was thinned and poured on canvas diagonally (one triangular side – white, the opposite triangular side – black), red in–between and gold sprinkled randomly. The canvas was then manipulated by movements in order to spread the paint in different directions and create texture, and then set aside. After it's completely dried, I've embellished it with some intricate outlining, by using permanent Sharpie (gold and black), and applied few coats of gloss varnish.
This painting is an original and as all my artworks comes with Certificate of Authenticity. Sides are painted, so, the painting can be displayed with or without a frame.
