Artist's description:

This is my drawing of The World Serpent, or Jörmungandr. Inspired by the God of War game series. The World Serpent is a creature from norse mythology. He is one of Loki's children. The other children being Fenrir, Hela and Narfi and Vali. Jormungandr was named the World Serpent or Midgard Serpent as he was cast into Midgard's sea (our world). He is so gargantuan that he can circle the world and hold his own tail with his mouth. This is one of the origins for the symbol Ouroboros, the serpent devouring its own tail. Jormungandr is a sworn enemy to the god, Thor. Thor, throughout his journeys has encountered the serpent in many adventures and has normally ended up proving his strength by tussling with the creature of Loki. For instance, Thor managed to fish out the serpent by luring him with a giant ox head, he wanted to fish the serpent out and kill him. But before he could kill the creature, the giant he was fishing with cut the line. This would be the last time Thor and Jormungandr would see each other before Ragnarok, the death of the gods. In Ragnarok we see Thor and Jormungandr battle, Thor does kill Jormungandr only to die himself due to the serpents poison.

This is certainly a personal accomplishment of mine with this drawing, as the official development team of the game God of War, Santa Monica Studios. Retweeted my work and uploaded it onto their Facebook. To get recognition from the developers of the game filled my heart with joy. I'm just glad that they got to see it, along with everyone else.
