Transforming into ceramic one of my own shots, taken a while ago now, commissioned for an advertising, which later was exhibited at Vinitaly, a famous wine expo in Italy.
This artwork consist of an handcrafted ceramic, with details in high relief, which I decorated by hand, impressing a photographic negative through multiple stages of photo- sensitization, exposure, development and fixing cycles, that will eventually create the image, in it's rough, yet sophisticated look.
Finally the work is fired at 980°C. (1800°F). This procedure ensures a potentially eternal life of the artwork.
A fusion of photographic, typographic and ceramic experiences.
It is a ready-to-hang piece, framed.
Delivered in a safe box, complete with authenticity certificate.
