Acrylic/mixed media on stretched canvas
The colourful and elaborate 'shamiyanas' (canopy) used in most India weddings was the inspiration behind this painting.
I have used some pieces of scrap book paper to add some decorative designs to the clothing as well as the background.
(Currently, part of collection at Ashok Jain Gallery, NY )
