This large painting is part of a triptych and was inspired by 18th and 19th century Japanese wood engravings. The very famous wave of Hokusai where he depicted a wave in a very beautiful manner and I would like to create something similar in my own vision.
This painting will look absolutely stunning in a minimalistic or contemporary setting and is a perfect decorative element for someone who loves the power of the natural world.
It was painted in the month of April 2020 and was done in acrylic paints which I prepare from mineral pigments in the studio.
I personally stretched and and primed the 100% cotton canvas with Bologna gesso and tempera.
This painting will be rolled and shipped in a sturdy tube via international courier which includes a tracking number.
Please contact me with your questions, thank you.
