Artist's description:

This painting is part of a series of village women from around the world going about their daily chores. It's an appreciation for what women have been doing quietly over the ages to support their family and community, something we take for granted. The series is also meant to commemorate ways of life that are slowly disappearing in the world, as modernization and industrialization take over and the new generations seek different lifestyles from their predecessors. It depicts a girl from an Indian village bringing water home from nearby water stream. Your comments are appreciated.
