Artist's description:

I love painting and capturing Wild cats regularly especially when I visit the National Game parks.
Acrylic is a medium I paint more with and Pro Arte brushes because it develops as my work progresses and my skills and brush strokes improve too. This is painted on canvas textured Acrylic paper Winsor & Newton with a 300 grams weight paper. I concentrate mainly with the detail in the cheetahs face using a different approach when painting the fine detail on the fur. First I make sure the Acrylic paint I have mixed is well applied on my color palette. My main focus was on creating that orange brownish tone on the cheetah to make the piece visually interesting.
In my last stages of the painting I decide on the background which color works well with the cheetah so it does not camouflage or clash with the foreground image.
In the overall painting I was amazed with the outcome of the fine detail quality and color finish on the cheetah. It looks so realistic !
