Artist's description:

Taken in an abandoned cooling tower in Belgium. There is no photoshop used in this picture, in fact I don't even have photoshop. Like all of my shoots in abandoned places around Europe they are meticulously planned down to the finest detail. I go to the locations the day before to see if entry is at all possible and then to check the light at certain times of the day. This was a freezing cold day and the model is perched high on a set of step ladders under the dress. My assistant is holding the ladder from behind to keep it sturdy and to also make sure the model doesn't fall off and to certain death below in the murky waters. The things we do for a photograph!

This picture can also be seen in my latest coffee table book 'All is not lost' only available from

The paper size is A0 - 841mm x 1189mm. Image size is 828mm x 1176mm therefore there is a 65mm border all around to facilitate framing with a matte.

Materials used:

Giclee on hahnemuhle 315g photo rag baryta paper
