Artist's description:

I stayed here in this very picturesque town called Anghiari during July. It's at the top of the Tiber valley and in a very quiet corner of Tuscany. It's 20 minutes from the birthplace of Michelangelo and Sansepolcro where Piero della Francesca lived. Leonardo da Vinci's lost painting, 'The battle of Anghiari', was made here. The town is like a filmset with a tiny twisting streets, but when you see it from a slightly higher view it looks unreal. I was drawn to all the roof tops and the changing angles with the clock tower and the dipping valley beyond.
