An original creation of woodland fairy folk in an illustrative style.

This is one of my nature spirit pieces and I begin by firstly using a wash of watercolours and then build up from this with acrylics, using scraping, blending and splashing approaches.

This scene is quite autumnal and shows wood nymphs celebrating the morning one autumn day, up in the trees they are singing and dancing, welcoming a new day.

The paints have been varnished in a high quality gloss varnish and the canvas (which has it's edges painted in white) is strung at the back, ready for hanging.
