Artist's description:

I like to recycle/upcycle when I can and the same applies to what I paint on. This was originally a canvas with a print on it which was the perfect size for a giraffe's long neck so I painted over it using fine art spray paint for the starry sky background and impasto acrylic for the giraffe.

There is a gorgeous little blind owl called Zeus who is a bit of an internet star and he has the most amazing eyes which look like constellations of stars in a stunning night sky. He was the inspiration behind the starry eyes of my giraffe. The title came from the line of a beautiful song by a band called 'A great big world'. which also seemed very appropriate as I am a big believer in the interconnectedness of all life on this planet and the universe as a whole.

I wanted to keep the painting loose and vibrant and so used a palette knife to scrape paint on to create texture in the pattern of the giraffe's coat.

The canvas doesn't need framed and will hang as it is although you could also fit a floating frame if you preferred.

Please note the canvas is signed on the side rather than the front but there isn't an option for this when listing the painting.
