Artist's description:

The sun was on it's way down and lighting up the sea sillouetting the stack of rock, and sparkling with colour. This rock is part of Old Harry rocks on the Jurassic coast, Dorset, England. Paragliders were wheeling nearby in the light sea breeze. I loved the effect of the light on the water, and the shadows on the rocks.

This is painted on a box canvas, and the sides are painted too. I used several layers of oil paint to build up an impressionist image. The sea sparkles with greens, yellows, violets and grey blues.

There are D rings and cords on the back and the picture is ready to hang.

Materials used:

gesso ground and oil paint
