This arrogant male sparrow nests in a vent hole located right above my kitchen window on the building façade. When he wants himself noticed, --which happens all the time--, he flies from his nest to the tallest branch of a linden tree that grows in front of my house and sings, or rather screeches, to the top of his voice. That is about 3 meters away, looking horizontally, from where I sit to have breakfast. So it was not difficult to catch this close up image completely detached from the sorroundings. We have become good friends.
