This image shows a determined Atlantic Salmon persevering its way back up the fast flowing River Tay in Scotland to where it was born.

I usually create a 'main' illustrated linocut plate which is printed from other 'background' linocut plates. This time round I wanted to have two linocut plates, which individually aren't 'main' plates but combined together create a different effect.

Materials used:

Relief inks printed by hand onto Heritage 135gsm paper using a Slama 60 handpress
