Artist's description:

This painting is a more lifelike interpretation of The Royal Arms of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second of England. It was painted way back in 1979 when I had an interest in heraldry. The aristocracy in England all had their own coats of arms (as they do today). Lots of other countries have since followed this tradition to give the country an identifiable symbol for the head of state (e.g. the Presidential seal of the United States of America). I'm not sure who would buy this painting but it looks very classy hung on a light coloured plain wall. Definitely a one-off painting - it took a long time to paint. Most artists these days aren't willing to spend that much time doing a painting like this. SOLD
