A rowan tree painting in mid wales.
I stumbled across a mountain ash (Rowan Tree) growing from beside a rock on a recent trip to mid wales, the two were almost combined as the sun shone in beams from behind them and in between the lush berries and leaves.
Upon closer inspection it DID seem that the tree had broken through aspects of the rock.
I had to capture this as an earthy abstract painting, especially with the beautiful colours in the tree. There are many hidden aspects of subtle colour in this work that seem to get lost in the photographing of my art.
It is strung at the back ready for hanging, the sides have been painted white and it has been varnished for protection.
