Artist's description:

This is a small box canvas landscape inspired again by the rugged beauty of the far north of Scotland and specifically Glen Loth, a tiny single track road that runs through the hills between the north coast and the Inverness.

Like all my landscapes, I use a palette knife to apply the paint in an impasto style to achieve a very tactile surface and I use my favourite rainbow bright paints to create a very vibrant, contemporary painting.

The painting continues round all edges of the box canvas and it can either sit upright on a work surface or hang as it is without the need for a frame. The painting is actually signed on the side but there isn't an option to choose that when listing.

Materials used:

acrylic paint
