Original artwork description:

The Raconteur looks at pub culture/alcohol. The central figure (The Raconteur) is the focus of attention. His two dogs represent loyalty. They listen intently to their master. His stories have captured the attention of angels. His words glittering stars. He believes this is how he is seen, how he comes across to the viewer/patron. However he is so absorbed in his story and his worship of the grape represented by the glass of wine that he is unaware of the damage being done to him. The kettle marked AA poisons the figures mind. He is unaware his words have turned into rough echoes of the words he once spoke. They turn into brash symbols. He still thinks that he is a saintly figure as are all who have the privilege to listen to his bohemian tales. He doesn't realise the figure to his right. His only true audience does not care for is tales. He hears nothing the bottle acting as a barrier, but he stays as having a companion however pointless is complicit in his own alcohol consumption.
