This painting called, Turn the Page, has many possible themes for the viewer. For me it is about the POWER OF READING. How reading a good book can transport us to wondrous places. In this painting a young woman seems to be sitting on a hillside reading. She feels the crisp breeze of an autumn day as she closes her eyes and feels the brilliant leaves fall all about her, blanketing the valley in color. The mill and lazy river dance before her in their serenity. But WAIT! Look in the right bottom corner. There we see the dingy brick and mortar of the noisy city .... where she exists in reality. So we finally see that her imagination has the power to recreate a new reality for her.... as she turns the page!

Although this painting is sold UNFRAMED, I have included a picture of it framed. This will give you a better idea what it will look like when you have it framed and hanging on a wall.

All large size paintings that are international orders will be removed from the wood frame, rolled up and shipped in a shipping tube. You will have to have it reframed.
