Artist's description:

Kafka had a troubled relationship with his father. This piece is a depiction of his inescapable sense of being perpetually judged. A complex polished concrete, aluminium and mirror creation involves Kafka's eyeless face painted on mirror which lies behind Gregor Samsar's bug wings. On the underside of the wings are Kafka's father's eyes which reflect in place of Kafka's own eyes. As the viewer moves around this piece the reflected eyes follow them, replicating Kafka's inner turmoil and fear of judgement.
