Artwork realized in "Surrealist" style where the two figures are surmounted by chess and playing cards of unexpected dimensions. The man at the bottom, who is about to hide behind a mask, must yield the foreground to the imposing chess that almost seem to want to hide it; the woman upwards is mirroring herself and, in doing so, her reflected face becomes the face of one of the two enormous playing cards that seem to want to advance unstoppable.
