Original artwork description:

Section of the old drove road running just North of Wilton in Wiltshire. Drawn in situ in 2000 as part of a solo exhibition of paintings and drawings at Fisherton Mill Gallery, Salisbury, in 2001.
The charcoal was used not as a conventional drawing medium, but was mixed with fixative and moved around the surface as a wash; using an eraser as a squeegee.
