This painting is one of my impressions of a quiet farm in the American Heartland. I am especially drawn to old farmhouses, so included one in this scene from my imagination. I most often work from memories of scenes that I love from the country. The sides of the gallery wrap canvas are painted to match and the painting is wired and ready to hang, so no framing is necessary!

I hope that you will enjoy viewing my vision and glimpses of the quiet, old rural landscapes of the American heartland. Old farms, barns, cattle, sheep, meadows and big open skies, are often the inspiration for my art. I have been influenced by the old Barbizon, Tonalist, & Luminist painters for my original dreamscape, landscape paintings.

My work is in collections throughout the U.S. and abroad. I was happy to have had my art work shown in the "This Old House Magazine' and hung in their Cloudland Cottage show house in 2015. My paintings have been used as cover art on a classical CD by the "Wingra Quintet", and on several books: Praying with your Whole Heart, Three Ways of Loving God, and a lovely heritage cookbook by Cinagro Farms. An article about my original heartland landscape paintings was on the online Art Magazine "Empty Easel".
