Artist's description:

I painted this view of 'The old Jetty and Lookout, Broadstairs', on location on a cool February day, sitting in the shade next to the fishing boats.
It shows the seaweed and sand piled up after the winter, in front of the old Lookout and Lifeboat house on the jetty. Beyond to the left are some of the old buildings, including the 'Tartar Frigate' and 'Bleak House' beyond, where Charles Dickens used to holiday and write, away from the bustle of London.
I was attracted to the low sunlight, casting long shadows on the buildings and railings.

This is an original oil painting on board and it comes to you ready to frame. I painted it on location, in the company of other artists.
It would make a lovely gift to someone who knows or was brought up in the area or who loves the writings of Charles Dickens.
I have signed it on the front, in the lower left corner and It comes to you carefully wrapped and with a signed certificate of authenticity.
