The distinctive image here is of a hare. Representing wildlife of the farmland countryside. Titled 'The Old Buck'... he lays in the long grass on a summers evening, a full moon shines from above, his retiring expression says it all! giving the impression of a well seasoned character, whose air of nonchalance evokes a sense of amusement for the onlooker. The work was originally created for a themed exhibition on Hares and has been popular character.
The Old Buck is a limited Edition of 50, and is mounted in a square frame.
The use of hares in art dates way back in history...for example the incredible etching by Druer. Artists use of hare imagery is ever present and symbolic in its representation of springtime, new life new beginning's. Many images draw on the antics and characteristic of this long eared creature. I endeavour to do like wise with 'The Old Buck!'
This work is mounted onto mount board with an aperture size 12x12cm.
Please note most correspondence will take place in the evenings due to daytime commitments thank you.
