Original artwork description:

The novice
Acrylic colour on thai handmade mulberry paper(kada sa) , deckled edge, 13 x 10 in., 25 x 34 cm
Painting is inspired by my time spent in Myanmar & Thailand visiting monks & monasteries there, and my own temporary intro into Buddhist monasticism.
The rest is an exercise in colours, especially in the orange and folds of the robes, and a sense of improvised splash!
Recently I’ve gotten in a bit of a new mood… I want my pictures to move, have ‘em with a it of a rough edge to them. And tough I do my best to upload on time and regularly, I am valuing my studio time a bit more…
The paper I use is a traditional mulberry paper handmade in Thailand. It's a thick parchment paper, strong yet pliable. The close up picture is to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there's the work in progress.
Please note that you can purchase in one order up to 3 paintings of this same size (small painting category) or smaller to be included in the same 1 shipping fee.
Please allow 3 days for processing.
