This pen and ink study entitled 'The Mermaid's House' is 285mm x 400mm in size and drawn on lightly hand stained paper.
I live near a harbour and the sea so mermaids are a fascination for me and I had great fun creating this piece.
It's is a trip for the eyes with lots to look at and lots to read in it...'out the door and down the stair...the mermaid comes to wash her hair...fisherman and fishes...be careful what your wish is...'
I love to experiment with abstract shape and pattern within a drawing and my imagination meanders in a happy way as I draw using words to tell a small tale within the drawing.
'The Mermaid's House' would look gorgeous framed up and you'd never have a dull moment looking at it.
