The Long Way Home” was inspired by a gently blowing breeze amongst the sight of a romantic cottage behind towering wildflowers. Soft and warm colors are blended into the background while colorful impasto flowers rest on top of the canvas in front of a stone cottage.
This painting was created with oil paint, cold wax, and finished with a satin varnish. The cotton canvas is splined, which means the canvas is wrapped around wooden bars with no visible staples. The sides of the canvas are painted to match the painting.
