This original painting was largely a creation of the subconscious mind, conjured up as a dreamlike mindscape where the sea seems to be gathering itself up before rolling over the serene glowing solitude of this landscape of waking dreams.
I had never painted on a canvas this shape. I bought the canvas before this painting evolved. I had thought it might make an interesting abstract shape. But this Dreamlike landscape made it to the surface before any other ideas.
I love to use oil paints,They take a long time to dry but they have a richness and depth that no other paint can give
