Every nation has many fairy tales and legends. This painting is based on a Slavonic legend and the legend tells the story of a bloomed fern. We live in the times when the rational and the rationality prevails, however, it is extremely important to keep faith in goodness and not only be well aware of the nation's official history, but make sure that fancy stories that every nation passes from generation to generation are cherished and respected.
This decorative luminous painting gives free play to one's imagination and gives a chance to learn beautiful mysteries and legends of Slavonic culture.
The legend of the fern is well known in Russia: the magic flower opens up once a year on the night of Ivan Kupala (summer solstice). In the ancient Slavonic tradition, the fern has become known as a magical plant. According to the legend, it was during the Ivan Kupala night (midnight) that the fern would blossom and the Earth would open, showing the treasures hidden in it.
