With this painting, I departed somewhat from my usual style. Many of my paintings are a little bit tighter than this one, and don't have a dark underpainting. With this painting, I experimented by laying lighter colors over a dark background. I also went for a looser, more primitive look, sort of in the style of a woodcut print. I hope you like the results. If so, let me know. I might try more like this one.

This original painting is sold unframed. Please note: You probably will want to frame it to your taste, as the edges of the canvas are not finished and the stretcher is not gallery depth. Photos showing the work in a frame are for example only.
