Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This is a slab built sculpture made with stoneware clay fired at cone 10 in a gas reduction kiln.
-The following excerpt is a part of my display when I do exhibitions of The Village series.

-The House of Four Friends resides some miles east of the village in the type of location you would expect to find a cottage such as this. Not a scary forest, not a timid forest. The kind of forest you would want to get away to for a couple days out of the office.
Two boys, two girls, went to school, grew up best friends, and camped every summer right here, where they built this house years later when they were two families, four friends, a lot of kids, and a publishing firm.
