Ile de Re, off the west coast is a fantastic place, with a wonderful bright light. Lots of salt flats with reeds and a wetland landscape predominate.

This is a lovely scene of a little harbour I came across while cycling about.

Watercolour is one of my favourite mediums as you can achieve beautiful layers of translucent colour, and create some wonderful impressionisitic works.
