The bud of a pine tree a moment before it breaks free from its shell and unfolds its leaves in search of future majesty.

This print is part of a series of 10 working prints in the Native series. This photo was taken in the field with natural light and no plants were cut.

To take the shot, a neutral background of light paper was placed behind the subject and, no artificial lights or flashes were used.

Pinus Pinea is an edition of 10 original handmade gelatin silver work prints of this format, signed, numbered and accompanied by its own certificate of authenticity.
