Artist's description:

The game of 'Cat and Mouse' is an English-language idiom dating back to 1675. In theory the game can never actually be won and there is no 'end game'. Here it is played by a very smug looking black and white cat (who assumes he's winning) and his opponent - a mouse!

This assemblage uses a Victorian mahogany box lid, vintage mahogany cigar box, early 20th Century French Lotto cards, antique chess pieces, dice and a very familiar piece of 20th Century technology.

The piece measures 300mm high, has a maximum width of 195mm and is 97mm deep.
